What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is an object-based, immersive audio format. Instead of fixed left/right channels, individual sounds are placed as objects in three-dimensional space — including height — so a mix can render to headphones or a multi-speaker setup and feel like it surrounds the listener. It has moved from cinema into a headline feature of premium music tiers.

What is Hi-Res Audio?

Hi-Res (high-resolution) audio is lossless audio delivered above CD quality — typically 24-bit depth at sample rates up to 192 kHz. The extra bit depth and sample rate preserve more detail and dynamic range than a standard compressed stream, closer to the original studio master.
